Tell us about the band!
three-piece going for three years!

We have Gary the bassist.

Dan the lead singer (and guitarist)

Drummer never turns up for anything!

Where did the name of the band come from?
Gary came up with it.

Gary got a new bass.

2000 is longer than 20!

What are your ambitions for the band?
They’ve known each other for 12 years.

band was for Rathole Radio Live

after about half an hour they had a good version of Jumpin’ Jack Flash

Judas Priest or The Clash...or John Mellencamp.

model themselves after Judas Priest...only in fashion

What’s going on with Kickstarter?
It’s over. One month campaign

Initially a low target of £250 which went within an hour.

went up to £900.

Gary is the recording guru!

What’s the recording process like?
pretty simple setup

small, portable digital 8-track

drum kit has three mics on it.

5 mics total

Thelonius Monk would record live in studio. Wouldn’t play the song more than three times in a row.

started off micing bass, but they are going to try a few different things

16-track, but only 8 tracks at once.

size of a small laptop. very light. goes straight to SD.

What’s going on with your mixer?
mainly for podcasting (SoundCraft 328)

Dan lets Gary do all the mixing!

Gary says it’s a phase!

All the Linux Outlaws stuff was done in cubase.

Tom still likes Renoise

Dan doesn’t understand the fuss with ProTools.

Gary says it’s too expensive.

Doesn’t matter what you use as long as it sounds good at the end

Were the other members into CC, or did that all come from Dan?
Dan just did it!

Do you gig outside of Liverpool?
Did a lot of gigging last year, but right now focused on recording

last full gig was in September in Blackpool

What are some of your favorite bands/artists/genres, CC or otherwise?
Gary: so many! everything! even the bad stuff is an influence. Beatles and Rolling Stones. Adam and the Ants. Frankie Goes to Hollywood. Some punk with the Sex Pistols. Public Enemy

Dan: Jimmy Eat World. Gettin’ heavier. Motor bikes!
